About Me

I am a recent graduate of Dickinson College with a B.S. in Environmental Science and Biology. Originally from south central Pennsylvania, I appreciate the importance and beauty of rural America. Drawing from my upbringing and inspired by my high school experience as an exchange student, I developed a passion for environmental stewardship that progressed into a interest to work in ecology.

While at Dickinson, I had the opportunity to contribute to the ever expanding sustainability efforts of the campus, first as an intern with the Center for Sustainability Education and then as a peer-educator with the Eco-Reps program. I spent my junior year abroad in Bremen, Germany, and had the opportunity to explore European biodiversity though biology courses focusing on local taxa and during two ecology excursions to the Netherlands and Poland . On campus, I was also an active member of Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity, Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Microcosm - Dickinson's Yearbook, and Vice President of the German Club.

I am an aspiring ecology and would love to spend time doing field work to understand the full scope of what ecology positions have to offer. My senior research project on changing phenologies of spring wildflowers, along with various other independent and group projects, have given me a solid foundation for the work I will be doing in the future.
